Avatars alias

I like the idea of avatars because you can put a likeness of yourself on your blog but not your picture. This way people know who you are and can amybe get an idea of you without the actual picture.

I really have nothing to spring clean yet. I think because I was so far behind I don't have many comments or alot of fluff on my blog. My computer is currently buried in room that is completely unaccesable at home. So I am struggling to get pictures and extras to put on my blog.

Pyramind or three sets

When power lifting I prefer the pyramid workout - reps - 7, 5, 3, 2, as many, burn set. This is good for athletes who have trained this way before and are familiar with it. I have found an easier yet effective way is to start 3 x 8 and after three weeks or so depending on progress go to a 3 x 5 schedule. There is no changing of weight but you can increase your weight once you hit the 3 x 5.

Effecetive post

What makes a post effective is if it is pertinent to blog, does it have a good headline, will it make people reply(develop conversation), is it readable/skimmable, is it believable, persuasive. I think an effective post is a post which makes people want to read and keep coming back.

10 questions to ask my blog

1. Who are you? R - I am a PE blog which can be used by PE teachers or students.
2. When did you start? R - I started last month and have had a very slow go. It has been difficult to get started.
3. Why did you start? R - For CEC credit.
4. Where do you want to go? R - I think I could go far but want to start small. Culminate during Track
5. Why track? R - I want to get feedback from athletes on workouts and competitions.
6. What do you want to get out of it? R - I want the students to be able to share workouts and what is working at practice.
7. How many students would be able to get on? R - I would start small with just seniors the open to others.
8. What gave you the idea? It is just another forum for communicating. Getting ideas out and in.
9. Why do this? R - So we can keep moving foward and get more people involved in track and being healthy.
10. Will it work? R - I hope it works. It started out for CEC credit but would like it to be more.

Finally on

It has taken some time and switching to a new blog host but I have hopefully gotten over the hump and made a blog page and a post.
